Hope Family is a Christian run home for abandoned children. Hope Family home is in Katmandu, Nepal and was started by Greater Grace Church of Katmandu. One of the church members read about these abandoned children who lived in the mountain areas of Nepal; how they had either lost both their parents or were abandoned by a single parent and pushed out of the villages. Greater Grace Church in Katmandu worked together with their village pastors in these mountain areas and with them brought the children to Katmandu. The children would fend for themselves in the jungle areas, without much survival ability they would eat dead animals washed along in the monsoons. Some of them when they were first found has contracted hundreds or round worms, were mal-nourished, frightened and had various diseases.

It is one year on now and the children have adjusted very well to their new home. They have grown more confident, stronger and their Christian, educational and personal growth is going well.

The Home is run by the church with the support of sponsors, helping to pay the for the house rent, food, clothes, school materials and other bills attached to a Home of this sort. All the children have been officially adopted by Hope Family from Nepal government.
